Cycling sessions will be largely broken into a daily session of 2-3 hours focusing on aspects of exercise intensity, as opposed to duration. All attendees are invited to complete as much training as they wish, though our sessions will be focused on individual training intensity based on recent scientific evidence.
Base running kilometres will also be completed on nearby trails, usually in the afternoons or off the bike. Swimming sessions can also be offered, to those interested, in nearby Bunbury.
A calibrated exercise bike will be available to measure individuals Vo2 max Power and even Vo2 max oxygen consumption.
Our mobile Vo2 max training device will be set up to measure each individuals baseline Vo2 max on-site. Costing for this is $150, reduced from $250 and not included in the training camp fee.
Evening informal seminars are also provided around best practice training initiatives for endurance athletes.
Importantly, there will be time available each day to do nothing – relaxation and recovery is just as important as the amount and intensity of exercise.
